Woodhill Riding School has 2 arenas- an indoor dressage arena next to the stables, perfect for flat work and when it rains, and an all-weather jumping arena 2 minutes walk down the bush track. You can adjust jump heights and placements to your needs. Please pick up your own poo!

We have 25 stables, some for privately owned horses and some for school horses. There is also a separate barn with 5 stables in it for stallions, but only certain people have the key to this one.

These rooms are where horse feed, brushes, saddlery, first aid and every other horsey thing imaginable are kept. Private horses get large lockers so their stuff is safe.

We have two hundred acres of fully fenced paddocks, perfect for your equine to relax in. Choose from private, semi-private or five horse paddocks. All school horses are in semi-private paddocks.

Stretching over two miles, through paddocks, the stream and the forest, the Cross-Country course has everything from tiny logs to 1* apexes and water jumps. Our instructors will tell you when you’re ready to go out to the course, and train you over them themselves.

There are many shows for lots of different disciplines around Woodhill Sands. Keep an eye out in the office for details about these. You may even be lucky enough to ride a school horse at one.

A long sandy length of... sand. Great for picnics, long gallops, early morning jogs and swimming when the weather is warm.

The shops at Woodhill Sands are kept to minimum- two clothes shops, a supermarket and a rather extensive tack and feed shop.

A locally owned Italian restaurant, Solo is where you take your date if you’re set to impress. The food is overpriced for such small portions, but very delicious. The ice cream and pasta is delicious, and the pizza is bellisimo!

The Java Palace is the place to hang out. With fresh coffee and hot drinks and delicious food, it’s perfect for meeting friends for breakfast, brunch and lunch. There are various employment opportunities available at this time, from waitresses to musicians.

Following an hour of twisty trails through thick forest, you'll emerge into a clearing, with this beautiful medieval fort perched right in the middle. Some say it's haunted though, so watch out!
